SchoolMessenger Phone Consent Needed
New federal regulations require us to get your permission to continue calling you with our SchoolMessenger system for non-emergency school situations (for example, attendance calls, events, and other school-specific information).
For non-emergency phone calls you may choose to limit which of your numbers will receive
the call, by going to the SchoolMessenger InfoCenter website at https://infocenter.schoolmessenger.com
Safety is our number one priority, and you need to know if your child is not in school. Attendance calls are considered "High Priority" and will require at least one phone number per guardian be available to receive the call. When making the change to consider attendance calls "High Priority," all parents/guardians listed in the Student Management System as a parent order "1" with Educational Rights will receive attendance calls on ALL phone numbers listed in the system. You may choose to limit which of these numbers you would like to receive attendance calls by going to the SchoolMessenger InfoCenter website at https://infocenter.schoolmessenger.com
Once at the InfoCenter, you can give us your permission and manage your preferences. To create an account, click "Sign Up" on the top right menu. To sign up, you must have an email address on file with the District. Consent only needs to be given once per parent/guardian.
Once you've signed in, you can choose how you want to be contacted based on the category of message (from emergencies to school activities). You will also be able to listen to and read messages from the school for the previous 30 days. You can sign back in to change your preferences at any time.
At this time, you cannot provide consent via the InfoCenter App, you must log on to the site online.
To continue receiving non-emergency messages, you must visit the SchoolMessenger InfoCenter website and provide your consent by January 1, 2017.
